I have people on my site forum who have been diagnosed with FM, have filed for disability and are receiving false information from greedy attorneys who are only after one thing and believe me, it's NOT TO ENSURE YOU WIN YOUR CASE! IT IS TO GET RICH OFF OF IT!
You do not have to be unable to work or unemployeed for 12 months to apply for or be approved for SSDI!
Go back and read that last statement again, I'll even make it RED. I did that because many are being told that by attorneys because they don't want to take on a case that doesn't guarantee them a HUGE payout on your back pay once you are approved. You see, by law, they can only charge 12% of what you get when you are approved. If you wait 12 months to apply, then fight for , let's say a couple years to get approved, subtracting the 5 month, mandatory waiting period that SSA makes you ineligible for benefits...the attorney gets a huge chunk of your money!
Don't do it! You do not even need an attorney unless you are denied and have to go before a judge! Don't just give your money away thinking you need an attorney to win your case! That's a load of crap!
