FM Caused by "A Hyper-Aroused Nervous System"?

For those of you, who like myself, read the article in "Science Daily" the other day about Fibromyalgia and are insanely ticked off...you're not alone.

This article, (which you can visit from the very top of my website homepage if you haven't read it,) begins with the headline, "Drug approved. Is Disease Real?" and continues to quote the NYT, "as far as the medical profession is concerned, the jury is still out" as to whether our disease is all in our minds or not! Quoting the now infamous NYT article as if it were taken from the Bible or something.

Fortunately, the article also features the opinions of Barbara Keddy, Ph.D who has suffered from FM for 40 years. She has written a new book, entitled: "Women and Fibromyalgia: Living with an Invisible Dis-ease" and has her own theories as to what causes FM. She also maintains a very helpful blog about FM, where she discusses this theory as well as other facts about how FM effects women. Her latest entry includes discussion about the confusion that surrounds diagnosing the cause of FM. I highly recommend that you visit her blog if you or someone you love has FM/CFS.

I was so blessed by her testimony in the article and the way she stood up for sufferers like me that I left her a comment on her blog, congratulating her on her good work. In return, she visited my website, even joined my support forum and added a link to The Ultimate Fibromyalgia Resource Center on her blog! I felt as if I should have been rolling out the red carpet or something! What a blessing! This woman is capable of achieving great things for FM and I hope that God blesses her with great support and success in her efforts.

I also plan to read her book!

So anyway, I just wanted to give you all a heads up on a new possible cause for FM and the dedicated woman who is researching this theory.

A Hyper-Aroused Nervous System?

hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm.

Think about it.

I will do my best to keep you updated on this story and will let you know what I find out. Meanwhile; please check the website for updates.

Thanks, everyone!
